Sequoia Stamp Club will be turning 75 years old. It is one of the largest and most active stamp clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. SSC will be hosting a huge celebration on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Ave., Redwood City, CA. The same place PENPEX Stamp Show and SSC meetings are held. The event is Free to all. Doors open from 1:30 to 5:00 pm. The first 50 visitors who are dressed in 1947 attire, will receive a free gift plus 2 extra raffle tickets. The Official Ceremony commences at 3:30 pm.
This once-in-a-lifetime event will have free raffle drawings for stamps, 1-year free subscription to Scott Digital Catalogues: Vol.1-6 World Set, bottles of wine, Harry’s Hofbrau $40 gift cards, and more. Each attendee will receive a raffle ticket as they enter the party. But everyone can increase their chances of winning by getting 2 additional raffle tickets for dressing in 1947 attire (the year the club was formed), or partaking in the many free games i.e. Philatelic bingo, Cornhole, Shoot the Moon, Disc Drop, Prize Wheel, Magic 8 Ball, and others. There will be a free Photo Booth that will immediately print your photo on a postcard for mailing. We do not want to forget refreshments, philatelic exhibits, a bid table with 12 stamp lots for sale to the highest bidders, engaging conversation, and lots of happy philatelists that will make this an event to remember. Please join us.
