Dear Peninsula Stamp Collector:
The 38th PENPEX Stamp Show is just around the corner. It will again be held at the Redwood City Community Activities Building on December 3 & 4, 2011. The show will be open Saturday 10 am to 5:30 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. To satisfy all attendees, there will be 18 dealers, 56 frames of exhibits, a youth area, silent auction (which closes at 2:30 pm on Sunday), and show cachets for sale at $2 each. The show is open to the public and is FREE.
The PENPEX Awards Banquet will be held at Harry’s Hafbrau, just down the street from the show. Ticket price is $20 which includes appetizer, entrée, side, dessert, coffee or tea, tip, and gratuity along with a cash bar. You can order tickets from Steve Sexton at a Sequoia Stamp Club meeting, at the PENPEX show, or mail a check to PENPEX, P.O. Box. 235, San Carlos, CA 94070. Seats are limited. Make checks payable to PENPEX. Please include your phone number and we will confirm that we received your ticket request. Tickets can be picked up at Harry’s Halfbrau, 1909 El Camino Real, Redwood City on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 pm. Dinner will be served at 6:30 followed by the awards ceremony.
PENPEX is run by SSC members. The club offers much for local collectors from auctions, presentations, local news, and question answering opportunities. Included in this monthly news eBlast are the upcoming Sequoia Stamp Club activities and area stamp shows.
